Wil Schroter suggests that start-ups shouldn’t get hung up trying to figure out how they’re going to make their first $10 million, and instead should focus on making their first $50,000.

I wish I could figure out what kind of business I’d like to start. I think I’ve all but eliminated the idea of buying a franchise. I’d rather sell them than buy them. I keep dancing back to it in my mind though because there’s such an appeal to a business in a box kind of approach.
Anyway, A Day in the Life of a Franchisee is interesting. Their days sound kind of hellish to me (except strangely the Subway guy), but that’s the franchise they wanted I guess.
