After seeing a bit of the sparkler fun on Flickr, I’m thinking I need to pick up some sparklers for the fourth. Nice.

Wow! David Nightingale’s images on chromasia are stunning. I really need to try harder.

Michael Wolf’s Architecture of Density presents a very interesting perspective on Hong Kong. The whole place feels very cramped and oppresive in these images somehow. I need to search out some other photographers’ takes on the city by way of contrast.

The Floating Logos Project is pretty cool. Let’s all hear it for the PhotoShop clone tool.

Stray Matter is a nice photoblog. I really like the combination of images and stories. I’m sure there must be lots of people doing that, but this is the first one I’ve come across.

I’ve used Ofoto before to mixed results. I just assumed it was because I was editing the photos to look good on a Mac and I should have been editing them with a PC gamma setting in mind. From the looks of this comparison though, the problem may also be with the service itself. I don’t make many prints, but I may need to look into EZprints all the same.

Eye of Science features some great, super-close macro photographs of germs and plants and insects and stuff. Very cool looking images.

The signs are illegible for all but the 3rd set of photos, but I still really like the idea behind These are the People in my Neighborhood You walk around your neighborhood and take pictures of people holding signs with the lyrics from Sesame Street. Very interesting and probably a good way to actually meet your neighbors. via

I have to remember to go check out Photo L.A. 2005 next week. It looks like an amazing and surprisingly comprehensive show.
