I don’t know why I’m not better at games like Slickball The graphics look pretty good for a web game. It’s hard though.

Well, focus problems notwithstanding, I did manage to get through The Dead Case tonight. At least I think I did. Dana is saved, and the bad dude is in flames. The browser crashed at that moment though, and I’m not sure if there’s anything else after it.
Also, to be honest, I did have an awful lot of help from The Dead Case FAQ. So, I guess technically, I’m more of a cheater than a hero. But cut me some slack. The girl is saved, and i did it all without caffeine.

I’ve played on-line click to make surprising things happen and solve the puzzle games like The Quest For The Rest before. (it’s a viral for The Polyphonic Spree’s new record). I never seem to do very well with them for some reason, and true to form it took me about 5 minutes of clicking the same hot spots to finally work out what I was supposed to be doing on the opening screen (hint - don’t waste your time trying to drop a berry on the mouse; that ain’t it).
Once I got going though, the puzzles ended up being as uncomplex as their music, and when I finally got to the end after like 3 or 4 screens I was like what — that’s it?
Anyway, it’s pretty at least. I was kind of starting to enjoy it until I realized there wasn’t anything to it.

Wow, do I ever suck at Trapped in Time. It’s fun though in a loud and slightly obnoxious cartoony kind of way.

If you’re in the Los Angeles area, and you enjoy art, you might want to swing by the Santa Fe Art Colony this weekend. They’re having their annual open studio May 1 and 2. I went today, and it was really good.
I’ve been to the Brewery Art Walk a few times, but that’s so big that I always leave feeling bad because I don’t think I was able to take everything in. The Santa Fe Art Colony seems a bit more compact, and there aren’t quite so many people, but there’s still a lot of really good work being done there.

A Break in the Road is kind of fun to play around with. I tried and I tried, but I couldn’t make anything that sounded like music. Maybe your skills will be more mad or crazy fresh or whatever it is the kids say these days.

After seeing a segment on Tech TV’s, Fresh Gear, I really want to try Parabouncing (crappy, all flash site). It’s like a hot air balloon, but they counter balance your weight so you have neutral buoyancy in the air. It must feel like Scuba Diving or actually flying through the air or something. It looks completely cool.
They’re located in LA, but unfortunately, their really crappy, amazingly un-user-centric site doesn’t tell you where you can actually try it out.

What do you suppose it says about me that I laughed at this (I mean out loud, gut wrenching laughter) for a solid 2 or 3 minutes? Even now it’s running behind my editing window, and it keeps making me laugh when I think about it.
To be fair though, that was one of the greatest moments in the history of cinema, so… Via

Ah, simple, vector graphics, classic feeling game. Noiz2 is a fun game (though I spent a long time avoiding the green stars thinking they’d kill me (when it turns out they’re actually bonuses)).
