I think it’s finally time I picked myself up a digital camera. I’m not sure what to get though. Minolta’s DiMAGE X is teeny-tiny which I certainly like. It would mean I’d be more likely to carry the thing around with me. I’m afraid you probably have to give up a lot for the small size though. It’s not like I’m a great photographer. It’s been a decade since my photo journalism class, and I couldn’t tell you the difference between an F-stop and a backstop anymore. Still, I’m hoping that if I get into it, I’m going to really get into it. That means I need a camera that is good for point and shoot simplicity that is still something I can grow with.
Anybody have any suggestions?

The Bowflex People have just about got me with their infomercials. I know, I’m probably going to spend a grand and use the thing like 20 times, but I have to say I’m almost to the point where I just really want to have one. Now that I’m getting rid of the furniture that was in my way, I may finally have to break down and get one.

Due to a run in with my home owner’s association, it looks like I’m going to be switching from Dish Network to Direct TV for satellite service. On the plus side, this means I can get one of the DirectTivo boxes. I’ve had a Dishplayer for at least a couple of years now, so I’ve become thoroughly addicted to having PVR functions, and I understand how that changes the way you watch TV. Still, everybody says that Tivo’s software is unparalleled, and I’ve been wanting to get one for a while now.
After spending an entire day yesterday researching the various options for DirectTivo boxes, I can honestly say I’m more confused than ever. more…

Nice - With just $599 (plus an extra $1,900), I can have one kick tail mp3 home juke box.
Probably not entirely worth it, but I am tempted. I wonder how long I’ll be able to hold out.

I’m thinking I might have to sell my 5 gig iPod so I can get this Drool-Worthy 10 gig version. Actually, I could really use a 25 or 30 gig version, but I’ll take 10 over 5 for now.
