NEXTO CF Ultra

Ooooooh! I want it!

I got a few 2 GB memory cards for Christmas (thank you Auntie Santa), but even those huge capacity cards are tiny compared to the size of each image that my XTi takes when set to RAW + JPEG. I looked into some of those iPod adaptors, but they don’t look very good. I looked at a few other digital wallet type devices, but none of them seemed very good either. This Ultra looks pretty swank though. Now, if they’d just sell it here in the states.

There are some truly remarkable images over on Kenneth Parker’s Photography site.

Get Ready to Shred

The Colbert Report’s Countdown to Guitarmageddon was awesome. Who knew that Kissinger could rock that hard?

99 Interesting Photos

Some of These Photos are interesting. Some are disturbing. A lot seem to be filler. It would have been better if it was 30 interesting photos from 2006 instead of 99. Still, worth a quick scan if you aren’t too busy.

I’m actually planning to photograph some Christmas lights this weekend, so How to Photograph Christmas Lights showed up at a pretty nice time. I don’t think I’ll have the time flexibility that would lead to great shots, but I’ll see what I can manage.

How To Network: For Introverts

There’s some good ideas in How To Network: For Introverts.

The Daily Monster

Stefan Bucher is creating Daily Monsters from ink splotches.

I always wished I had classic illustration skills. Watching these monsters come together with such a sure hand is sort of amazing. It’s a little like watching Bob Ross without the the creepy personality that you just know is going to snap one day. He’s making happy trees (or scary monsters), and it doesn’t look anything at all like a tree, and then “Wow, that’s a tree. Where’d that come from?”
