Mena has posted a video of dogs talking. Judging from the laugh track, I’m guessing it came from one of those funniest home video shows. Still, despite the questionable entertainment value of the source, there’s something really freaky/funny about seeing dogs apparently speaking English.

Whoa! Who knew that a cornstarch video (WMV File) could be so cool? via

Jack Black Pilot

So, a while ago, I heard about a failed TV pilot starring Jack Black called Heat Vision and Jack Well, it turns out Andy has a copy, and he’s seeded a bittorrent of it.

I’ve been trying to download the 300+ MB file for over an hour now. I’m only 13% through. I hear it’s funny though, so come on everybody. Fire up your favorite client. I need more users so we can get faster throughput on this thing. My PowerBook is so hot right now it’s about to melt through my lap and down to the core of the earth. Nobody wants that. Help a guy out.

The Phone is Your Friend

Normally, I’m not a huge fan of phones. They’re loud, and they interrupt you, and e-mail is just ever so much nicer. I do like this phone though. It’s like a magical portal to worlds wonderful and amazing.

What’s Your Favorite Color?

Color in Motion is a great summary of the various colors and some of their traditional associations in design. Why didn’t I have something like this back when I was in school?

I Saved the Girl - I’m a Hero

Well, focus problems notwithstanding, I did manage to get through The Dead Case tonight. At least I think I did. Dana is saved, and the bad dude is in flames. The browser crashed at that moment though, and I’m not sure if there’s anything else after it.

Also, to be honest, I did have an awful lot of help from The Dead Case FAQ. So, I guess technically, I’m more of a cheater than a hero. But cut me some slack. The girl is saved, and i did it all without caffeine.

The Attention Span of a Nat

I’m experimenting with cutting caffeine out of my diet. The headaches are manageable enough, but the lack of focus is a bitch. You know all those kids being diagnosed with ADD? Yeah, well instead of getting them all hopped up on Ritalin, just give them a diet coke.

Slow Down

As I get older, I find myself taking longer to finish the books I’m reading. I’m reading slower, but I’m not reading better. Perhaps, I should strive to do both by embracing the art of Slow Reading.

I say perhaps because the truth of the matter is that I haven’t yet taken the time to read more than an eighth of that page. I liked what I saw, but dreams call. Maybe tomorrow (if I have time … If I don’t forget). via

Let’s All Go to the Movies

I went to see the movie, Saved, this weekend. I couldn’t tell based on the previews and what I’d heard about it whether I would like it or not. It was pretty good though. It sort of reminded me of Election.

I also watched The Terminal. Based on the previews, I assumed I’d probably be bored by that one. How interesting could 2 hours in an airport be? All the critics seemed to love it though. And, there was nothing else out that even looked interesting, so as a last minute kind of thing I ducked in to see it. It was better than I thought it would be. I didn’t quite buy into the principal drama. I liked the main character, and I sort of liked the love story, but I couldn’t go along with the general conflict. I suppose they set it up as well as they could (albeit sort of heavy handedly), but it just seemed too hard to accept.

Oh, and I can’t wait to see the Bourne Supremacy. In fact, I may just have to dig out the Bourne Identity DVD and watch that a couple of times to get myself ready.

Boy, I just don’t know about VisitorVille. I think I’d rather have pie charts and piles of numbers, but I do know some people who would probably prefer viewing site traffic like a SimCity game. For all of you like that, this may be up your alley.
