Ana Casas seems to be trying to discover herself (and also her grandmother and family) through her Album Project.
Assembling documents, photographs (with a fair amount of nudity so careful at work), journal entries and other sources, she weaves together bits of a life. There is a deep yearning for understanding or maybe just remembering. I find it completely compelling.
Thanks Leann.

I used to love The Bionic Man as a child. That’s probably why I found the video charting the operation to transform a nondescript wiener into The Cybernetic Parrot Sausage so compelling.
The scene where they rip the parrot’s face off is horrifying (in a John Travolta/Nic Cage Faceoff kind of way).
Thanks to Aaron for pointing me to this in one of my comments.

I don’t want your god damn Disabling and Restricting Mechanisms in my consumer electronics. I don’t want big content in charge of what electronics can be manufactured and marketed.
The rules also mandate that makers of consumer devices capable of receiving broadcast digital TV signals, such as VCRs and DVD players, include a broadcast card that will recognize the flag. link
Bite me! Bite me! Bite me! Bite me you unresponsive bought and sold media stooges. Powell claims to be a fan of TiVo (a device that wouldn’t exist if Big Content had their way). What the hell could you be thinking you stupid bastard?!

Now, wait just a minute. You’re saying that A * B != B * A?
That just doesn’t make any sense at all. They have to be equal. They just have to be! But, according to the Scientific American article: The Future of String Theory, they may not be at very, super, ridiculously small sizes. It turns out my entire world view may be a bit blurry. The stuff I can actually see is so big it doesn’t matter, but Damn!
