Oooohhh Gross

This is sort of vile. It’s funny, but it’s vile: The Gift

P800? Well, Maybe Not

I thought that in the P800, I may have finally found the device that would get me past my luddite like aversion to all things cellular. I still don’t have a cell phone of any type. Looks like I may need to wait a bit longer. I’m sure that one day I’ll eventually find that very special phone that meets my needs (really, I just want to be able to surf the net at any time from any place very cheaply and maybe be able to make or receive calls twice a year). At this rate I’m thinking that day may be June 22, 2145 AD.

Taste My Squirrelly Wrath

You have been warned: 5 MORE MINUTES

What a cool idea. On July 1st, sh1ft.org is going to post a list of 26 themes/objects to this page. Participants have a month to photograph each of the posted items. You can then upload your photos to their site. I may have to do this.

Where is it?

OK, nobody move.

I seem to have misplaced my pocket knife. Has anybody seen it? I know I had it when I left the restaurant tonight.

Of course I checked the couch cushions. I even picked it up to look under the couch. Yes, even the heavy fold-out bed portion. Nothing.

Man, I hope it’s not the voices again. I don’t think I could take another month like that.

Oh, there it is. Yeah it was … Let’s just say it was in the couch cushions. OK? And, ugh should anybody ask, and really why would they right? It would really help me out if you could tell everybody that we went to the movies tonight. Yeah, I know, but I mean come on. You know I’d do it for you. Hell, I have done it for you. Remember Florida? Yeah, that’s right. So, just remember Wednesday, May 28th. You were with me all night. We saw The Matrix.

Look, I don’t think it really matters that you haven’t seen it yet. OK, well then what have you seen? Come on, you haven’t seen a single movie since The Bad News Bears? It’s not even going to come up, but you know in case anybody asks. OK?

Web Outliner

I feel like I’m missing something with this webOutliner Demo. I mean I get it at a basic top view level. I guess it’s neat to be able to do something like that, and I can see where it would be appropriate for a specific kind of information delivery. Mostly though it seems kind of esoteric. Maybe I just need to play around with creating them rather than just browsing the demo one they’ve put up. Maybe that would be the light bulb moment I’m looking for.

Also, guys - make the entire line of text expand and contract sub-levels. Forcing me to hit that tiny triangle as a target is a massive PITA.

Oh, God — The Burning

I was a little iffy about blogging this, but I figured what the hell. It’s sort of funny, and if Andre can write about accidentally drinking his own semen I should at least be able to share my ongoing battle with hair.

Dating Amy

Amy is going on 50 dates, and she’s Taking You With Her. It seems a lot like 20 Dates but you know on the web and more blog like.

I get the impression I wouldn’t want to date Amy. I would like to date somebody who was keeping a public journal of their impressions of our dates though since that would save me a lot of headaches trying to be a mind reader (assuming that I’d believe the journal any more than what they’d tell me to my face which I probably wouldn’t).

The Matrix - Eh…

I finally got around to seeing the new Matrix today. So many people I know liked it. Matt for instance sure seemed to groove on it. I on the other hand was ready to nod off as soon as the thing started and it never quite lived up to my hopes and expectations (whatever those may have been).

Anyway, Spoilers Ahead:

The Cinnamon Challenge

The Cinnamon Challenge made the rounds a couple of months ago. I went looking for it this morning and struggled a bit. Eat Cinnamon isn’t a very good query (Update: It was an excellent query. It was the first result, I’m actually blind!!! What do you want to bet I actually blogged this thing once before too?). Eat Cinnamon “Powered By” worked better, but I’m still going to drop it in here just in case I want to find it again.
