There are six. I got 3 (or 4) the first time I counted. I knew there was a trick, and I thought it might be the extra “F” in the instruction to Count the F’s. That isn’t it though. I had to read the thing backwards (old proofreader trick) to break up the words in order to find the 3 I was missing.

Here’s the thing though. I was expecting something like that. I’ve seen the sentence where “the” is repeated twice on two lines, and you blow right past it. I was going really slowly, and I still missed those other 3 F’s. The brain is weird.
