I always secretly wished I could be a font snob. Thing is, I came to graphic design by way of copywriting, and I guess I just don’t really have it in me to care that much about the finer points.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m all about attention to detail, and I will take time to make sure a design works. It’s just worrying about something as esoteric as subtle font choices never really seemed like a good allocation of time or resources. Still, I’m sure that font choice does make a difference on some level, and I have great respect for somebody who cares enough to agonize over individual letter kerning or X height.
