Readerware

I am SO tempted to get This:

  1. Database for Tracking Books, CDs and DVD’s
  2. Automatically Assembles Cover Art and Information from Internet DataSources
  3. Works with Mac (and windows, linux, palm)
  4. Free CueCat Barcode Scanner (I knew I shouldn’t have thrown those out…)

$85 though - that’s about 2 times what I’d like it to be. I’m tempted though. I have shelves and shelves of books, and like any good geek, I’d love to get all that data into nice searchable, manipulatable little boxes.

I did get it by the way, and it rocks. I scanned in 171 DVDs and abour 100 of my books. Then it got late, so I went to bed. I will be spending Thanksgiving scanning in the rest of my books though.

how are you liking readerware thus far? i am close to the end of my 30day trial and have 2/3 of my cd collection in it (2,296 scanned and identified).
i haven’t found a way to have it total a column (like # copies of a disc or the value) and since it is a trial, it won’t export.

and sadly, i can’t afford to purchase it at this time being unemployed in the computer industry.
