Movies by the Decade

How is it that I saw all of the crap Gen X movies like Singles and Reality Bites back in the mid-90's, but somehow missed a great little film like Kicking and Screaming? Granted it's kind of hard to buy all of the stars as 22 when they look and act a lot more like they're 32, but the writing is good, the acting is solid, and it has all of these freakishly absurd little touches that are happening in the background. So funny. If you haven't seen it yet, it's totally worth checking out.

I also watched My Chauffeur tonight. What a blast from the past that was. I remember having such a crush on Deborah Foreman's character in that movie. In retrospect she's way too 80's looking in her Madonna, wannabe get-ups, but man, her over-the-top, don't take any guff or anything seriously personality still holds a lot of appeal.

And the classic lines in that movie:
"A blue woman with a blue dog [...] I got 32,000 points now. All I gotta do now is find a one-legged nun walking a goat and I win"

"It's been a 100 years since I've seen a good tittie." "Ain't no such thing as a bad tittie." "The little bimbo hasn't been here and hour, and all you hormone graveyards can talk about is nipples." "Didn't mention nipples." "We were speaking of the tittie as a whole."

"Madame, if you continue masturbating my driver, you are going to be a murder."

They all lose a lot in typing them down, but I swear they're all funny as funny gets in context.
