In a couple of weeks, I'm planning to get together with some people for a Photo Scavenger Hunt. Basically, you're given a theme, and sent out to take photographs that reflect that theme. In this case you're supposed to go to the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica and:
Create a photomontage that captures the contrast and/or harmonious relationship of old and new sharing the same space. This can include, but is not limited to, people, buildings, nature, cars, whatever you see. We are purposefully leaving the guidelines for this topic very general because we would like to encourage each member of the group to apply their unique interpretation. The idea is you shoot the pictures ahead of time, and everybody gets together to show-off their work. It seems like fun, and I'm always looking for new and interesting things to do with my camera.
So, today, I spent a couple hours walking around taking photos. I won't show you my montage just yet, that would be like exchanging Christmas presents weeks in advance. But, here are some of the snaps that didn't make the cut or that were cool but didn't fit the theme.

Actually, I lied. I think that one of those pictures is going to make the cut. Any guesses as to which one?
