Six/Four is a new type of VPN that is intended to bounce internet connections through several trusted peers with the goal of obscuring the actual location of client computer.
That sounds cool. It seems clear that we're going to need something like this in the not too distant future, but won't bottlenecks be a problem? I don't understand all of the networking fine points, but won't the speed of the network be limited to the upload speed of the slowest peer in the network? Given the type of people who are likely to get into this, that could be pretty damn slow.
Additional side note, I'm sure this will be peer reviewed by many security experts, but I don't know how comfortable I am running Cult of the Dead Cow code on my machine. You know? Wired Story
