Update: You can't donate furniture through this web site. Based on a lot of the comments that have been posted to this page, people have the impression that they can donate furniture through this web page. This is just my personal site where I sound off about whatever catches my attention. A while ago, I had some furniture to donate, and I noticed that you could schedule a Salvation Army truck on-line. I just commented on it. That's it, so if you have furniture to donate, you'll need to go someplace else because I can't help you.

It turns out you can schedule a truck from The Salvation Army directly on-line. I'm conflicted. I've heard some less than flattering things about the Salvation Army's agenda and policies, but I do have some furniture I want to get out of my way. Where oh where are the civil liberties charities with trucks that will come get your cast-off items? Ah well, in the end it's really about what's convenient for me. They're coming a week from Monday.
